AIS-2-NMEA

A true two channel, high performance AIS receiver with a conventional NMEA 0183 connection

With the same performance specification as the AIS-2-USB but with a conventional NMEA 0183 output.

NMEA 0183 is compatible with other NMEA 0183 equipment such as chart plotters that can decode AIS VDM sentences.

This version is also recommended when the AIS receiver has to be remote from the PC or needs to feed non-USB equipment. For example it can be connected to a LAN/WIFI/internet system via a serial to Ethernet converter (TCP/IP). Typical use would be when building an AIS monitoring network using the internet. seaPro can use TCP/IP input data directly, so offers a very reliable way of connecting NMEA data around a vessel, site or across the internet.

*Note: A NMEA 0183 to RS232 opto converter may be required for isolation
